About the Journal

Educational Review: Research and Innovation (ERRI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing educational knowledge and practice across all levels and disciplines of education. The journal publishes high-quality scholarly work that addresses significant issues in teaching, learning, assessment, curriculum, educational policy, and institutional development. ERRI welcomes contributions from all subject areas—including but not limited to STEM education, language and literacy, social sciences, humanities, vocational education, early childhood education, and higher education. We also embrace all methodological traditions: quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, design-based research, and philosophical inquiry. The journal is committed to theoretical diversity and particularly encourages research grounded in perspectives that have broad resonance in contemporary educational discourse, such as: educational psychology (e.g., cognition, motivation, and development), sociology of education (e.g., social reproduction, cultural capital, and institutional theory), philosophy of education (e.g., critical theory, pragmatism, and ethics), and science and technology studies (e.g., digital transformation, sociomateriality, and actor-network theory). We also welcome interdisciplinary approaches that integrate insights from multiple fields to generate new understandings of educational phenomena. The journal features three complementary sections: Critical Reviews – Systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, and scoping reviews that synthesize existing research and offer new conceptual frameworks. Empirical Studies – Original research that presents new data, rigorous analysis, and practical or theoretical implications. Innovation Reports – Descriptions of novel educational practices, policies, technologies, or curricula, with evidence of effectiveness or potential for scalability. ERRI prioritizes studies that have clear implications for educators, policymakers, or researchers, and that contribute to the improvement of educational systems locally, nationally, and globally.
